A handful of freely improvised sessions were documented, and each week we would listen back to capture, distill, refine, and recapitulate the essence of the most resonant bits of musical content and vocabulary. It was then stitched together into a larger form, repeatable as a gestural composition but loose enough to sound a little different each time. It was recorded simply and live in a room, in comically adverse conditions in a community space on Pete\u2019s block.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This music was developed from a handful of freely improvised sessions, where the essence of the most resonant bits of musical content and vocabulary were documented, distilled, and refined. The material was then bound together into a larger form, repeatable as a gestural composition while retaining its improvisational spirit.
