High Two is proud to announce that we will be releasing the third album from Bitter Bitter Weeks<\/strong><\/span>. Titled Peace is Burning Like a River<\/em>, the album has Brian McTear morphing his solo project into a full-fledged rock band. Featuring members of Apollo Sunshine, The A-Sides, The Novenas, Audible, Velvet Crush, and more in support, Peace is Burning<\/em> retains the intimacy of the previous Bitter Bitter Weeks albums while infusing more energy and volume.
\nBitter Bitter Weeks will perform songs from the new album at Johnny Brenda’s<\/a> in Philadelphia will help from Creeping Weeds and Apollo Sunshine on Friday, April 27.<\/p>\n

Peace is Burning Like a River<\/em> is a rock record. As Bitter Bitter Weeks has evolved from a solo project to a full band, McTear returns with his finest songs and best album. While past albums were dark and minimal, this is vast, honest, assured and, dare we say, “triumphant”. It taps into McTear’s work with Mazarin, as well as subtle Eno-esque beds of organ and tape echo, and the American jangle of the 1980s college underground music.<\/p>\n
